Support
I recovered from anorexia over a decade ago, after struggling since my teen years. Having experienced residential treatment, I deeply understand how it feels for clients who have been there or are faced with going there. What truly helped me in my recovery was being in my home environment, where I could work through my challenges, develop new coping strategies, find motivation and purpose, and build an identity beyond my eating disorder. Supported by a fantastic treatment team, I came to value this holistic approach, which ultimately drew me to become a recovery coach.
How I Can Support You

Created by: Carolyn Costin Institute
"Eating disorder coaches are emerging as an adjunct to standard treatment, filling a much-needed gap in traditional services by working in conjunction with the client's treatment team, assisting with the daily, practical, hands-on aspects of recovery."
- Carolyn Costin M.A., M. Ed., MFT

As a recovery coach, I work as an adjunct to you to provide the client with support needed to sustain motivation and make progress in-between treatment sessions.
-
I do this through:
-
in-the-moment text support
-
hands-on food exposure and meal support
-
a safe space to work through therapy goals as challenges arise
-
hope and understanding from someone with lived experience
-
-
I provide you with weekly coaching session notes to stay connected and aligned in care.
